Energy Wasting Day

"The April Fool's Day spoof video is designed to promote awareness on climate change.

"We launched Energy Wasting Day two years ago with a range of corporate brands and NGOs to help make it easier for consumers to fight climate change in their day-to-day lives," said Tom Gribbin, campaign manager at The Climate Group.

"We thought: 'Let's turn all this climate change doom and gloom on its head' and created this spoof character and his campaign to raise awareness of how crazy it is to waste energy."

The campaign is organized by Together, a movement launched by The Climate Group along with companies and non-governmental organizations including Tesco and environmentalists WWF to promote energy efficiency to consumers."
